Does Action-HQ.com sell any illegal, pirated movies
or anime?
Action-HQ.com does not sell any illegal or
pirated movies or anime. It is our policy to sell only
legally produced and licensed CDs and DVDs. Our trained buyers take countless
steps to ensure that all DVDs and video offered on our site are 100% legitimate,
licensed releases. If you ever receive a CD from us that you believe
is pirated material, we urge you to contact us immediately.
Can my existing US-bought DVD player play import CDs
and DVDs?
Your CD player can play any CD we sell on our site. Your US-bought DVD player can
play any DVD purchased on our site as all the DVDs we sell are set for All Regions
- "0".
What is DVD region coding?
Manufacturers require all DVDs to include a standard code for each different
geographical region. Each player, in turn, is also given a code for the region
in which it is sold. The player will only play discs that are coded for its’
own region. Region codes are a permanent part of each disc and do not go away
and cannot be altered.
There are 8 international regions, with most
players and discs labeled by a region number in the image of a world globe somewhere
on its packaging.
1 = U.S. and Canada
2 = Japan, Europe, South Africa, and the Middle East
3 = Southeast Asia and East Asia (including Hong Kong)
4 = Australia, New Zealand, various Pacific Islands, Central America, Mexico,
South America, and the Caribbean
5 = Eastern Europe (Russian states), the Indian subcontinent, most of Africa,
North Korea, and Mongolia
6 = China
7 = Reserved for future use
8 = Special international venues (such as airplanes or cruise ships)
Please feel free to use this chart to note which regions your own equipment
can play. Anything labeled with a "0" can typically play all regions
though this is not recognized as an official classification.
Are import-only DVDs in Japanese, Chinese, etc. only?
Sometimes that might be the case so please check the description in regards to
language and subtitles before ordering.
